Good deeds of past pay rich dividends when you take a walk down the sorrow lane

I walked a mile with sorrow
And never a word said she;
But, oh! the things I learnt from her
When the sorrow walked with me.

Did you ever wonder, what should motivate you to be good to others or be humble and polite to them? Did you ever wonder, what should motivate you to stretch a bit more to smile at people around you? Goodness isn’t rewarded instantly. You will feel its importance as you go ahead with your life. And it is those times when your life takes a detour down the sorrow lane that you face the reality. You would sooner or later realize what it means to be good to others.

You are sad, you are depressed; no one seems to be around, no shoulder to support you. The world seems to be ending for you. You seem to be loosing control over yourself. And the best of the people aren’t available. All of a sudden you are reached by an unexpected call or an unexpected visit. It’s an old colleague, an old college mate, an old fellow from your yester years. He comes as a messenger of God, and just at the right moment, who makes you forget the pain that you were in. He breaks the monotony for you to rejuvenate.
